Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith has said she will wear an apron emblazoned with the words ‘What would Mary do?’ to cook Christmas lunch.
The bright pink apron is a tribute to her predecessor on the hit show, Mary Berry.
Leith said Berry will also wear a complementing apron to cook the festive meal, with the words ‘What would Prue do?’ on the front.
She shared a photo of them both in the aprons on Instagram, with the caption: “My favourite pic. We’ve both promised to wear the aprons to cook the Xmas dinner.”
Leith replaced Berry to judge the competition with Paul Hollywood when the show moved to Channel 4 from the BBC.
She earlier shared a picture of the current Bake Off team sharing a Christmas meal together.
The photograph shows Leith with Hollywood and presenters Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding.
She captioned it: “Christmas comes early to the Gang of Four. Sandi cooks a mean roast duck.”
